DIY Installation

This kit is designed for customers who are confident carrying out their own paint protection film installation.

For the best result, installation should be completed indoors in a clean, well-lit and dust-free environment.

The vehicle must be thoroughly washed, decontaminated and correctly prepared before installation. Wax, polish, ceramic coatings, dirt and other surface contamination may prevent the film from adhering correctly.

All required installation tools and LMNT installation gel solution are supplied with every DIY kit.

Some larger or more complex panels may require additional installation experience. Professional installation is recommended for customers who are not comfortable working with paint protection film.

Before Ordering

Please confirm the following before placing your order:

• Your vehicle is a Chevrolet Silverado
• You have selected the correct Silverado 1500 or Silverado 2500 kit
• You have confirmed your vehicle’s model year
• Your vehicle’s trim level and exterior body panels match the selected kit
• You have selected any required optional extras
• The vehicle paintwork is suitable for paint protection film installation
• Any aftermarket accessories or replacement body panels will not interfere with the selected coverage

Paint protection film will not hide existing scratches, stone chips, dents, paint defects or previous repairs. Existing damage may remain visible underneath the film.

Installing paint protection film over damaged, resprayed or poorly repaired paint may result in paint lifting during installation or future removal.

• For ZR1 and ZR2 models, removal of the factory ZR1/ZR2 badging is recommended before installing the film. Badge positioning can vary between vehicles due to inconsistent factory placement, which may prevent the precision-cut film from aligning correctly around the badges. Badges may be replaced after installation if required.

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Silverado 2500 use different body panels and require different precision-cut film kits. The kits are not interchangeable.

Aftermarket flares, bull bars, sports bars, canopies, tub covers, side steps, replacement panels and other modifications may affect kit fitment.

The customer is responsible for confirming their exact vehicle model, model year and exterior body configuration before ordering.

LMNT is not responsible for incorrect fitment caused by selecting the wrong vehicle model, model year or variant.

LMNT is not responsible for fitment issues caused by aftermarket accessories, replacement panels, modified bodywork or non-standard vehicle equipment.

LMNT is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect vehicle preparation, installation, stretching, trimming, handling or removal of the film.
